Literally Painting with Light

Behind the Scenes

Another cool article I found tonight came from the Strobist blog. Someone over there found the YouTube video of the making of the Flashlight Sprint Ad. You can watch how they made it as well as the original ad as it aired. Click here to read the post.

This gives a whole new meaning to our little painting efforts with flashlights while out on a photo shoot.

Excellent Article Covering Crowdsourcing

What is Crowdsourcing?

Check out this excellent BLOG covering this Crowdsourcing phenomenon. Complete with definitions and links for further reading too.

In particular, Jeff posted an excellent article entitled Digital Sharecropping: Mesh takes on Crowdsourcing

And why is crowdsourcing so “in the news” lately? Just because it attempts to define what’s happening with stock photography in general and is the key ingredient to the success of iStockPhoto, Flickr, Smugmug, and YouTube. And interesting to note, most of these successes in crowdsourcing involve photographers (and videographers)! Read this article called Photophiles Needed to learn more.
