Julia’s Senior Portrait

A quilting friend of my wife (and good friend of the family) asked me to take her daughter Julia’s senior portrait this past summer. So we headed up to one of my favorite spots in Colorado: Chautauqua Park in Boulder and had a fabulous session. She’s so photogenic, too. After seeing these images on my screen, I came to like more the smile-less poses we shot–she just has this look and smirk on her face when she doesn’t smile, maybe she’s smiling with her eyes, I don’t know. But I liked the shots more when she did not smile. Too funny too, because I kept asking her smile over and over during the session. Go figure.
